IT’S HERE!!! And I started..i’m sorry..i couldn’t wait!
So..my P90x “Gym in a box” arrived today.
First let me say, I think I got a copy that someone sent back, because the dvd case/box had worn out edges and it just looked grungy, but whatever..i don’t need it to look pretty, I need me to look pretty..so whatever.
The first thing I had to do was take my measurements and some photos.. I didn’t take the right photos, and I know I should do that before I get too into it..but once you see my measurements you’ll see why I’m a little reluctant to post pictures of my bare belly….but I will..just refrain from laughing too much.
So..I’m sure if you’re reading this, you’ve probably read all the reviews on p90x that are searchable online..so I won’t bore you with the details of the program…
So I’m just gonna basically journal my experience/s and you can take it or leave it.
First things first..
Here are my measurements and my Fitness Test Results:
Body Fat %..I don’t know.
Weight: 148 (I’m 5′4″ female)
Chest: 38″
Waist: 35.5″
Hips: 34″..i think that’s wrong though. I might have to redo that one.
Right Thigh: 21″
Left Thigh: 21.5″
Right Arm: 12.5″
Left Arm: 12.55″
Fit Test Results:
Resting Heart Rate: 64
PULL UPs: Can’t do because my girlfriend won’t let me put a pull up bar in her house..Not bitter.just semi discouraged..oh well..you can use bands to replicate the pull up bar..which is an fyi..although I think the P90x pull up bar isn’t a mountable one..you just slip it on there..but I may be wrong..if anyone knows about that, let me know.
Vertical Leap: 8″
PushUps: 23
Toe Touch: -1
Wall Squat: 62 Seconds (It Burnsssssssss)
Bicep Curls: 16 @10lbs.
In & Outs: 29
Jumping Jacks and Heart Rate at resting intervals: Didn’t do because I don’t have a heart rate monitor the time frames to take your pulse are too close together to take it the old fashion way.
Needless to say I passed the fitness test ( but didn’t excel) So I figure I won’t fall over and die doing this program..go me.

Nutrition.
Ok, the guide is helpful, but I know how I eat now and how I should be eating on a diet. The p90x diet isn’t any different from any other nutritional diet EXCEPT you get more calories..probably to accomidate the hard core excercising, but I think I might go with a 1500 calorie diet instead of the 1800 it guides you too in the book.

Workout Program:
Ok, at first I thought I should just bust it all out and do the Doubles program instead of the Classic or Lean program, since I’m really interested in losing body fat…HOWEVER.. I did Chest and Back tonight, and realized my body shaking like a crazy person probably means I should start off a little slower and get some much needed cardio in first. So I’m going to do the LEAN version. Once I’m done with that in 90 days, I’ll move on to Classic when I’m in much better shape and I’ll sculpt the what I did..not my first plan of attack, but it’s the pace that I’ll need to take to refrain from discouragement when I can’t do 30 pushups

Ok, so a little about chest and back…I almost vomited after all was said and done…I was shakey..felt like muscles moved that never did before which made me feel so stretched out that I was weightless in a not so good way…even as I type this, I’m a little shakey..I’m telling you people, I’m out of shape..
I was sweating..my glasses were fallin off…dogs were flyin across the room cause they were in my way..girlfriend was vacuuming….CHAOS PEOPLE..IT WAS CHAOS!!!..but..i do kinda feel good..I knew I would..I love this trash..I love star crunch little debbies too, but I also love peaches..I dont’ know what that had to do with anything, but I think I’m hungry. 0_o
So..no pictures as of yet..
And tomorrow, I plan on waking up around 6.30 or 7am to do my first LEAN workout..which isss Core Synergistics…fun fun! Then I’m going grocery shopping for soy nuts and egg whites..0_o..VIVA LA P90X!!!!!!!!!
